Category Check Valves
The Piston Type Lift Check Valve is a globe-pattern, automatic non-return valve engineered to prevent reverse flow through pressure-responsive piston disc actuation. When inlet pressure rises, the piston lifts off the seat and allows forward flow. When inlet pressure drops or outlet back-pressure builds, the piston returns to seat under the combined effect of reverse flow and gravity, delivering a positive, tight shutoff without any external actuation. Suited to high-pressure service where elevated flow velocity demands a closely guided, precisely fitted closure element, this valve is the preferred check valve choice wherever reliable automatic isolation and repeatable sealing performance are required.
Features
- Pressure-responsive automatic operation — the piston disc rises under forward flow and returns to seat under back-pressure or gravity, requiring no manual intervention or actuator
- Precisely guided piston disc fits closely into a machined seat, delivering tight shutoff and eliminating the disc flutter and seat wear common in swing-type check valves at high velocities
- Body and cover manufactured from high-quality castings in a choice of materials, with all seating surfaces precisely machined for consistent, high-performance closure
- Bolted cover design allows internal inspection and maintenance access without removing the valve from the pipeline, reducing downtime in service
- Broad pressure range from PN-10 to PN-40 and size range from DN15 to DN400 cover the majority of industrial and utility pipeline requirements across water treatment, power generation, cooling, and thermal oil systems
