The King Valves Non Slam Check Valve is a spring-assisted, controlled-closure check valve engineered to eliminate water hammer in fluid systems where abrupt flow reversal would otherwise cause damaging pressure surges. By decelerating disc travel through a spring-loaded or dampened internal mechanism, the valve closes gradually and smoothly rather than slamming shut, protecting pipework, pumps, and associated equipment from the shock loads that lead to premature failure. Manufactured in stainless steel throughout, it is well suited to demanding services including hydrocarbons, cryogenic duty, water distribution, fire protection, HVAC, and pumping station applications.
