Category Ball Valves
The Shoritsu OPV-T Series is a trunnion-mounted, full bore ball valve designed for critical isolation service in offshore pipeline, subsea, and high-pressure onshore pipeline applications. The trunnion-mounted design reduces operating torque for large bore and high-pressure service, while dual piston effect (DPE) seats provide reliable sealing in both flow directions under the most demanding pressure and temperature conditions.
Features
- Trunnion-mounted design reduces operating torque significantly compared to floating ball designs in large bore and high-pressure service, allowing smaller actuators and reducing mechanical stress on pipeline connections
- Dual piston effect (DPE) seats provide reliable bidirectional sealing under high differential pressure, ensuring positive isolation in both flow directions throughout the valve’s service life
- Sour service compliance to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 with material selection and hardness controls specified from the outset for H2S-containing pipeline service
- Certified firesafe construction to API 607 and ISO 10497, with graphite fire-safe stem packing and metal-to-metal secondary seats maintaining pipeline integrity under fire exposure
- Full offshore documentation package including material mill certificates, hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure test records, fire test certification, and third-party inspection reports supplied with every unit
