The Shoritsu SCV-S Series is a swing type check valve designed to allow forward fluid flow while automatically preventing reverse flow through a hinged disc mechanism. When forward flow is present, the disc swings open against the flow direction. When flow stops or reverses, the disc returns to its seat under gravity and back pressure, providing a positive seal against backflow.
